Introduction to Dust Removal and VOC Treatment System for Asphalt Plants

The flue gas generated during the operation of mixing tanks and finished product receiving points at asphalt plants is characterized by large volume, high dust concentration and asphalt fume content, requiring both dust removal and VOC treatment.
Tangshan Shengshi Environmental Protection Equipment Co., Ltd. has designed a comprehensive treatment process integrating baghouse dust removal, box-type filter cotton filtration, activated carbon adsorption, desorption and catalytic combustion, which boasts scientific design and stable operation. The dust-laden flue gas from asphalt mixing tanks and finished product receiving points first undergoes dust removal through a dust collector, with the dust content of the purified flue gas not exceeding 15 milligrams per cubic meter. Subsequently, the flue gas passes through box-type filter cotton to further remove residual dust and water vapor, then enters the activated carbon adsorption device to adsorb VOCs (volatile organic compounds) in the gas. After a predetermined adsorption period, automatic hot air desorption is triggered under PLC control. The desorbed waste gas is delivered to a catalytic combustion chamber by a fan for combustion decomposition, and the finally purified gas is discharged through a chimney via the fan.
